Privacy Policy

How browsing, hosting, typography and affiliate measurement work on this information website.

Incorporation Bureau is an independent information website about forming and running U.S. companies. Some commercial links can earn us a commission.

Browsing this website

Public articles do not require an account or payment. Administrative access is restricted. We do not operate a public checkout, newsletter signup or contact form. If you purchase a service through a partner link, that purchase takes place with the provider.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare serves and protects the site. Requests to the site involve technical information such as IP address, requested URL, user-agent and request time. Security services and hosting infrastructure may process this information and use technical identifiers. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices.

Affiliate links and measurement

We use affiliate links and an Impact partner script on public pages. The script is configured to transform eligible links and record impressions. Loading it makes requests to Impact infrastructure before you necessarily click a partner link. These requests can include technical browser and network information; provider storage and attribution depend on its configuration and your browser controls. We therefore do not describe this website as having no tracking or guarantee that no cookies or identifiers are used.

Some links contain a placement label identifying the article or button. That label is not itself a visitor name. Affiliate networks and destination providers may apply their own attribution, cookies and privacy practices. Their processing is distinct from that label. See Impact’s privacy policy.

We may receive affiliate reporting about clicks, attributed purchases and commissions. This page does not promise that all network reporting is anonymous or describe a retention period we have not verified.

Optional Google Analytics

We use a dedicated Google Analytics 4 property to understand visits, partner-link clicks and use of the cost planner and formation checklist. Our analytics script loads the Google tag only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Rejecting analytics does not restrict the site or its tools. The Analytics preferences control in the footer lets you change your choice. A browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal keeps this optional analytics off.

When enabled, analytics can process technical device and network information, page paths and events such as a partner-link click or a completed tool action. We send a broad referral category, such as Google or ChatGPT, rather than the referring conversation URL. After consent, this category is kept in this tab’s session storage across internal pages and expires after 30 minutes without a measured interaction. It is cleared when you reject analytics; it is not a personal identifier. Our custom events do not send the amounts entered into the budget, names, email addresses, full partner tracking URLs or page query strings. The Google service has its own processing practices; see Google’s privacy policy and Analytics browser opt-out information.

Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. If allowed, the configured Analytics cookies can last up to 90 days; browser controls can shorten this. Withdrawing permission stops our subsequent analytics events and clears this site’s Analytics cookies. We configure advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization and Google signals as off for this measurement.

A click to a partner is an outbound action, not a confirmed purchase, approved bank account or earned commission. A tool completion is a planning interaction, not evidence that a company was formed. Analytics can miss visits because of consent, browser blocking or collection failures. The analytics choice described here controls our optional Google Analytics implementation; the separate affiliate-network and destination-provider practices are explained above.

Fonts and external websites

Public-page font files are served from this site’s own hosting. Administrative previews may load Google Fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Following a source or commercial link takes you to another website, where that operator’s policy applies. Official government sources are not affiliate partners.

Your browser choices

You can manage cookies, site storage and tracking protection in your browser. Blocking third-party resources can affect affiliate attribution or administrative preview resources. These controls are not a substitute for any consent or privacy choices required by applicable law.

Privacy rights

Rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information depend on applicable law and the processing involved. For information processed by an external provider, consult the provider’s privacy policy and rights-request channels linked above. This page does not claim that using affiliate measurement is automatically outside the scope of data-protection rules, or that browser settings replace rights you may have.

Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. This policy is updated when the site’s actual services or measurement practices change.
